Ray Noir is a London-based queer alternative artist making cvnty queer rave-metal: genre-bending electronics, metal breakdowns and big pop hooks.
Born in Oslo’s black-metal underground and sharpened in London’s clubland, Ray brings together raw emotion, queer attitude and larger-than-life theatrics, creating music for outsiders, misfits and anyone who refuses to fit the mould.
His 2024 mixtape Scorpio reached the Top 5 of the German Alternative Charts, earning recognition from Kerrang! and BBC Radio 1. The 2025 EP Against The Machine featured guitar legend Steve Stevens, while 2026’s Gothstar, created with Jon Cass and Tom Saint and featuring Danny Blu, continued his chart success and pushed his sound further into rave-metal territory.
With new music arriving in 2027, Ray is taking his sound in a more personal, emotionally charged direction, bringing his own experiences to the forefront while keeping the intensity, attitude and big hooks.
